Clifford Baker, born in Ventura, Calif. in 1937, began his career as a professional photographer in 1977. In 1981 he relocated
from San Diego to San Francisco. In 1989 he began taking photographs for the San Francisco Sentinel, and in 1993 started writing
a Speak Out column of street interviews for that weekly gay newspaper. Many of his images have been published as note cards,
greeting cards, and calendars as well as in magazines such as Dance, The Advocate, and many others. In 1995 a book of his
male erotic photography was published by Bruno Gmunder Verlag (Berlin): Clifford Baker (Euros No. 1).
